Chion's House is a private inn in Onna Village, Okinawa. The earth bag architecture is decorated with colorful mosaic tiles, and the furniture utilizes the warmth of wood. You can spend a peaceful time in the mysterious curved space.

The earth of the earth bag is earth. We named it "Chion's House" in the hope that people will listen to the sounds of the earth.

A series of four domes

It consists of four domes: entrance, tatami room, living room and bathroom. The living room has a kitchen and a double bed. If you put out an additional bed mat in the tatami room, you can stay with several people.

Environmentally friendly earth bag method

Chion's house is made of a hybrid of reinforced concrete and earthbags.

The earth bag method is a new method that came from the United States. It is a technique to fill a long tube bag with mixed soil, beat it, and pile it up.

Since it is made from local soil as the main material, it is environment-friendly, and it is possible to create soft curved shapes.

Accommodation facilities using this method are rare in Japan, and this is the first case in Okinawa.

Chion's house is not a bustling, exhilarating inn, but a peaceful recharging inn. It seems to be aimed at children, but we hope that adults who remember their childhood will enjoy it.

Aiming to be a place where adults can forget their daily lives and relax from the bottom of their hearts, we have analog record equipment, custom-made glass and art works, delicate ornaments and pottery.

Some guests who have actually stayed with their children say, "I was worried that my child would run wild and get dirty or break it, so I will leave my child and come slowly next time."
