The setting for this experience is a historic, over 100-year-old temple quietly nestled along the old Tokaido road. Deeply rooted in the local community, it has long been a place of revered faith.

2. Beginner-Friendly Zazen Meditation

The experience begins with a gentle, step-by-step introduction, making it perfect even for first-timers.

At Isshin-ji, zazen is practiced in a calm and welcoming atmosphere, free from the rigid image of being struck with a stick (keisaku) for losing focus.

Rather than emphasizing discipline, the temple's approach is closer to mindful meditation—encouraging you to “unwind your heart” and enjoy quiet time for self-reflection away from the busyness of everyday life.

■ROOMS: PETAL 1~4 (all rooms)

■Number of guests: 1 to 2 persons

■Room charge: From 74,500 yen (per room/tax included)

■Flow of the day: Maximum 90 minutes including transportation.

1) Gathering and reception　

　Please come to the reception desk when it is time to assemble.

　The tour will be held in the morning.

2) Transportation

　Hotel staff will guide you to Isshinji Temple.

3) Zen meditation experience

　After listening to an explanation of Zazen, we will move on to the Zazen experience.

　An English manual is provided so that guests visiting Japan can experience Zazen with peace of mind.

4) End of the tour

　After the Zazen experience, the tour will end with a local dismissal.

・Detailed information regarding the meeting time on the day of the tour will be sent to you by e-mail after making a reservation.

・We may take photos of the day's activities and use them for publicity purposes (website, SNS, etc.). Please let us know in advance if you do not wish to be photographed.

・Due to the nature of our facility, we may be unable to accommodate guests in the event of severe weather conditions such as typhoons or strong winds.

In such cases, no cancellation fees will be charged.
