Stay in a cozy kominka on Ojika Island this winter (December～January)

Our kominka (traditional Japanese houses) are not only beautiful, but are also equipped with all the luxuries of modern comfort. The whole house will be yours, and you can choose to cozy up on a sofa or enjoy the warm sunshine and a garden view in a traditional tatami room. But don’t forget to get some fresh air too! The island is too beautiful to spend all day indoors.

Nabe Delivery

Prepare yourself a hearty meal from local ingredients in a fully equipped kitchen. But to save you the trouble of going out for dinner on a cold night, we will arrange a nabe delivery to your kominka. Our nabe (Japanese hot pot) will come with an assortment of locally caught seasonal fish and vegetables. The fish is the fattiest in winter, and in Ojika we have the freshest and fattiest of them all. Enjoy the delicious nabe in the comfort of your kominka.

Island Breakfast

For breakfast, we prepared a ready-to-eat sashimi meal: pickled amberjack sashimi on rice together with seaweed soup. Consider this to be an island’s take on the Japanese-style breakfast. Absolutely delicious!

Board Game Rental

Board games are a great way to spend quality time with your family and friends. Choose two games from our collection to take with you to kominka.

※Nabe delivery is not available on Mondays and Tuesdays.
※Kominka Hoshu and Nichigetsuan are closed this winter.
※The floor heating is only available at kominka Sakishoji and Oyake. Kominka Ichigoan and Ichiean don’t have floor heating.

Feel free to book more than one night at the kominka as well as add any other options or activities you are interested in. You can also have Nihonshu delivered with your nabe.
