Thanks to the cooperation of Oryori Madoka—a Michelin Plate–awarded restaurant located right in front of our hotel—we have prepared a special breakfast set exclusively for HOTEL Mio guests.
Enjoy the flavors of Oryori Madoka available only at Mio: a luxurious breakfast featuring an abundance of seasonal ingredients from Shimabara.

Breakfast is served in our hotel’s breakfast area.
Breakfast begins at 8:00 AM. If you prefer a different time, please inform us in advance.
Hot Spring
Shimabara Onsen (carbonated spring water) is piped directly into the bathtubs of each guest room.
Relax and enjoy it at any time during your stay.
Room Information
For stays with 3 or more adults, an additional futon will be provided.
Please note that as the futon is laid out by moving furniture, the sleeping space will be somewhat limited.
Children
For children of elementary-school age or younger who will share a bed with an adult, please select “Infant – No bedding” (up to 2 children free of charge).
Children of junior high school age or older are charged the adult rate.

Children with meals included will receive the same breakfast as adults.
For children without meals, additional rice and miso soup will be provided for sharing.
Facility Information
Our inn is a renovated townhouse over 170 years old, carefully preserved to retain the charm of traditional wooden architecture.
Please note that there are stone paths and steps leading to the guest rooms, and the property is not fully barrier-free. We kindly ask for your understanding.
Check-in Information
After 6:00 PM, check-in will be handled via self check-in.
On Thursdays and Fridays, self check-in is the only option for the entire day.
If you are using self check-in, we will send your PIN code by email one day before your arrival.

Check-in time
Our check-in reception hours are from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM. After 6:00 PM, check-in will be conducted via self check-in. In addition, on Thursdays and Fridays, we operate self check-in only for the entire day. We will send you your PIN code by email one day before you arrive.
When staying with 3 or more adults
When staying with 3 or more adults (including children of junior high school age or older), you will need to sleep on an additional futon. Please note that the space will be somewhat narrower as the futon will be laid out by pushing furniture aside in the living room or in the vacant space on the tatami mats.
Parking
If you set your destination to “Shimoda Antique Shop”, which is next to our parking lot on the map, you will find our parking area on the left side just before the shop. Please note that the road at the parking entrance is one-way and can be a little difficult to find.
When staying with 3 or more adults
When staying with 3 or more adults (including children of junior high school age or older), you will need to sleep on an additional futon. Please note that the space will be somewhat narrower as the futon will be laid out by pushing furniture aside in the living room or in the vacant space on the tatami mats.
If your child is staying
Children 12 years and under may stay free of charge when sharing a bed (no meals or bedding included), up to 2 children per room. Breakfast (same as the adult menu) can be added as an option for bed-sharing children. Guests 13 years and older will be charged the adult rate. Children 12 years and under who require bedding will also be charged the adult rate.
