Momiji is a maisonette-style accommodation featuring one tatami room on the first floor, one tatami room on the second floor, and a private bathroom exclusively for your use.

The first floor serves as a comfortable living space where you can enjoy meals and spend quality time with family or friends in a traditional tatami room.

The second floor is arranged as a bedroom, providing a peaceful retreat for a restful night's sleep.

Please note that Momiji is not a private whole-house rental accommodation.

All other areas of the property are shared spaces and may be used by other guests.We kindly ask that you make your reservation with this arrangement in mind.

Kitchen Facilities

The kitchen is equipped and operated as a commercial-use kitchen. If you wish to use the kitchen during your stay, please contact us in advance for consultation.

Building Information

This property is a historic Omi merchant residence owned by the City of Higashiomi and has been carefully restored and adapted for accommodation use in order to preserve it for future generations. As the building retains much of its original character and traditional construction, insulation and soundproofing may not meet modern standards. In particular, temperatures can be quite cold during winter mornings and evenings.

Due to the nature of the building, sound may travel easily throughout the property. We kindly ask guests to be considerate regarding noise, especially when opening windows and doors or during nighttime hours. As the property is located in a quiet residential village, please refrain from going out unnecessarily after 10:00 PM.

As is common with traditional Japanese houses, there are multiple steps and level changes throughout the building. Although step stools are available at the entrance, the property is not barrier-free. We appreciate your understanding.
