【THE HOUSE SEN (Private house)】Standard Rate [Bed and Breakfast]
【Opened in 2023!】THE HOUSE SEN (Private house) [Standard Rate [Bed and Breakfast] 【Private house suite perfect for families and groups. Just a 30-minute drive from Satoyama Jujo】 The House is a project by Satoyama Jujo in which we renovate well-built old houses in the area into private suites where just one group can stay per night. Located in the Kawanishi district of Tokamachi City, Sen is our second suite in this series after Izumi in Minamiuonuma. Although both facilities have been fully renovated to ensure they stay warm and comfortable even in the winter, the design concepts are slightly different. The biggest feature of Sen is the outdoor sauna, which affords stunning views overlooking a forest on a river terrace (Capacity: 6). There is also an indoor sauna, so you can enjoy relaxing in two different saunas during your stay. Sen is also more reasonably priced than Izumi. Up to four guests can stay at Sen for the same rate, so you can enjoy time with your family or a group of friends.
[Saunas] The forest-view outdoor sauna (Capacity: 6) and the indoor Finnish sauna (Capacity: 2) are both self-löyly saunas, where you can regulate the temperature by splashing water on the hot stones. The cold water baths at each sauna are fed by naturally flowing groundwater that remain around 16-17° C in the summer. If you reduce the flow rate in winter, you can enjoy single-digit temperatures. Enjoy bathing in the crisp winter air as you gaze at the forest below. If you do not plan to use the outdoor sauna, we will deduct 5000 yen from your total fee. Please remove this option when you make your reservation. The small indoor bath is not a hot spring. If you would like to enjoy a hot spring, Sennen no Yu (Senju Hot Springs) is a three- minute drive or 20-minute walk from Sen.
