Plan with Craft Coffee Roaster Tour
"Archipelago Roastery" is located about 5 minutes by car or 20 minutes on foot towards the mountain from Tagore Harbor Hostel.
We opened in 2020 as the only coffee roastery in Nishi-Izu area.
We roast small batches of selected coffee beans, mainly from beans grown in coastal terroirs such as Indonesia and the West Indies, and provide them to our customers on a daily basis.
Do you know how the coffee that we enjoy every day is made?
The process is surprisingly unknown.
We hope that by experiencing our roasting process, you will become more familiar with coffee and will be inspired to pick it up with affection.

After the actual roasting experience, you will be able to taste the original coffee that we actually roasted and receive a bag (100g) as a souvenir.
Please experience the aroma and taste of freshly roasted coffee.
※This plan will be confirmed when you receive an email from the facility confirming your reservation for the roasting experience. Please note that it may not be possible to conduct the roasting on the requested date. Please understand this in advance.

Each room does not have a TV, bathroom, or toilet. Shower room, toilet, washbasin, refrigerator, slippers, and hair dryer are shared. Please forget about time and enjoy the beautiful seascape seen from the window as you relax and enjoy the time flowing by. *Only suite rooms have a refrigerator in the room. The hostel was renovated from a 60-year-old abandoned guest house, so it is prone to noise. In addition, from fall to winter, there are days when it is windy and the sound of the wind can be heard. The sound of the wind and other noises may disturb your sleep, so please refrain from staying if you are anxious.
About Amenities
Bath towels are available in each room, and toothpaste and cotton swabs are available in the common area. Toothbrushes are available for purchase. Room clothes are not provided.
About lights-out time
All lights will be turned off at 10:00 p.m. Please be considerate to other guests by not having loud conversations or noises after 10:00 p.m.
About Location
321-17 Heda, Numazu City, Shizuoka Prefecture Although our address is in Numazu City, we are located about an hour beyond the mountains from downtown Numazu. Please be careful. ＜By car＞ From the Nagaizumi/Numazu Interchange on the Tomei Expressway, take the Izu Chuo Expressway via the Izu Jukan Expressway. From the Nagaokakita I.C., drive approximately 45 minutes via National Route 414 and Prefectural Routes 127 and 187. ＜By train＞ From Mishima Station on the JR Tokaido Shinkansen, transfer to the Izu Hakone Railway and go to the last stop, Shuzenji Station. About Breakfast
Our hostel is a bare-bones accommodation. Breakfast can be added as an option. It is served in the lounge on the first floor between 8:00 and 9:00 AM. It consists of a Western-style plate and coffee. There is an 800 yen charge per person. Please make a reservation when you check in on the day of your stay.
For customers coming by car
In front of our hostel is the harbor, where you can park for free. Please park in any available space. If there is no parking space available when you arrive, please ask our staff for help.
