Dosukoi
Concept
This room combines Japan's traditional culture of “sumo” and “public bath.”
A sumo wrestler's hand on the ceiling, a large bathtub, and paintings inspired by public baths create an extraordinary worldview. From the entrance to the living room to the bathroom, the bold design attracts many. This room can be used not only for overnight stays but also for girls’ night out and for families with small children to enjoy the public bath without hesitation.
Room Entrance
The tiled roof and noren are reminiscent of the entrance to a public bath.
Living Room
The light decoration on the ceiling expresses the strength of a sumo wrestler. Furniture such as sofas, rugs, and chairs are arranged in white and beige to evoke the image of a sumo ring. The space is impactful yet cozy, with wallpaper depicting sumo wrestlers.
Bathroom
The large bathtub made of cypress can accommodate multiple people, including family and friends. There is a large painted picture of Mt. Fuji in front of the bathtub, so you can enjoy a majestic view while taking a bath. Above the bathtub, we have installed a mizuhiki curtain that resembles sumo wrestling. A refrigerator and chairs are placed in the changing room to create a public bath-like space.
Bedroom
Each bunk bed has two single beds which can accommodate up to 4 people.
Wash basin/toilet
The wash basin is separated. A hairdryer is provided. The toilet has a washlet-type toilet.
Others
In addition to kitchen utensils, it is fully equipped with daily necessities such as a microwave and refrigerator. For the yukata and slippers, we have prepared many items inspired by Yokozuna yukata and "DOSUKOI" so that you can enjoy the sumo world of the room even more.
