One group per day, a villa in Ise-Shima
Cometa is a small celestial body that returns to Earth every few years to every few hundred years.
The name was chosen with the hope that it would become a place that customers would return to for generations to come.。
We hope you will enjoy a completely private space with an area of 2,600 square meters, where you can spend time with your precious family and friends.
The morning sun rises through the open windows facing the Pacific Ocean. We recommend sleeping with the curtains open.
At the semi-outdoor terrace dining area, you can enjoy authentic BBQ on a cast iron hot plate.
The plaster-finished bathroom features a spacious Shigaraki ware bathtub that is large enough for two people to soak in.
An 8-ton concrete sauna (the same weight as an African elephant) made from recycled clay pipes. It has excellent heat storage and can reach a maximum of 95 degrees.
The bath uses mineral-rich groundwater. It is soft to the touch and feels like you are being enveloped in comfort.
You can relax by swinging in a hammock or do aerial yoga.
Enjoy chatting around the bonfire. Firewood (2kg) is provided free of charge.
We offer an optional kayaking experience where you can rent a kayak owned by the owner and enjoy the sea in front of you. You can enjoy the beautiful sea of Ise-Shima.
We offer facial and body treatment options by Makiko Hirata of Venus Treatment. Relax your mind and body to the core while listening to the sounds of the ocean and the breeze from the sea.
BBQ using local ingredients
We provide rare local ingredients such as spiny lobster and Matsusaka beef as BBQ ingredients.
On the spacious semi-outdoor terrace,
you can enjoy an authentic BBQ using a cast iron griddle called "Nikuita," which is packed with the passion of our cast iron craftsmen.
Enjoy hearty grilled dishes that you can't normally make at home.
"Nikuita" is a product of the sincerity of the cast iron craftsmen. It is a cast iron hotplate that brings out the natural flavor of the ingredients to the fullest.
The fish are delivered alive from the fish tank on the day of check-in. They are in the refrigerator when they are delivered.
Options include spiny lobster and Matsusaka beef.

The story behind the opening of this facility
Nice to meet you, my name is Toshikazu Tomita. This year I will be turning 60.
Supervising the loading of a satellite (Himawari 7) onto a rocket (H2A No. 9) in Tanegashima (2004)
Until now, I have been working as a national civil servant at the Civil Aviation Bureau of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism.
The Civil Aviation Bureau is responsible for airports all over the country, and I have been moving between airports all over the country, from Okinawa in the south to Hokkaido in the north.
Transfers are common for me, and until now I have not been able to decide where to live for myself.
When I retired, I chose Ise-Shima for the first time in my life as my "final home". (lol)
Ise-Shima is located in a place that can be reached in just over two hours from Osaka or Nagoya by Kintetsu Limited Express or highway, and is a tourist destination filled with beautiful scenery woven by the ria coast, clear water, and fresh seafood. Among them, Anori in Shima City, where this facility is located, is a place I had always wanted to live in, as I had traveled to airports all over the country during my active career at the Civil Aviation Bureau, which protects the skies of Japan. This may be a bit of a geeky story, but Anorisaki Lighthouse is one of only 16 lighthouses in the country that can be climbed. The square lighthouse is unique and offers a spectacular 330-degree view of the ocean. Please stop by when you come.
After purchasing the land, which was a scrub forest, I rented a backhoe and cleared and developed it myself, living like "Animal Crossing: New Horizons" for about two years, and finally managed to open in April 2024. I have written an "Animal Crossing Diary" from the purchase to the opening on note, so if you are interested, please read it and press "Like" to encourage me. https://note.com/cometa_iseshima/
Waking up to the morning sun, relaxing in a hammock while looking at the Pacific Ocean, authentic BBQ using local live ingredients, clay pipe sauna and groundwater bath, I hope you will be able to relieve your daily fatigue with all of these. Also, sea activities such as surfing and kayaking will give you a huge energy ball from nature.
And just as Cometa means comet, I hope you will come back to Ise-Shima when you feel tired again. We look forward to seeing you there.
Tomeda, Owner of Cometa Ise-Shima
