SHICHI - a room renovated from a pawn warehouse.

From the heavy storehouse door, climb up the secret inner staircase to the relaxing living room and bedroom, a perfect room for those who love good old buildings. The compact and comfortable base-like space is recommended for a small group of guests.

The old chests and scales used since those days in front of the entrance, as well as the doors and walls that were used as pawnbrokers, are still intact.

Newspapers and ledgers from the pawnshop era are used to reinforce the earthen walls and walls on the second floor, providing an unexpected glimpse into life in those days.

tatami room
The upstairs tatami room is a compact but somewhat relaxing space. How about a leisurely cup of tea?

Bedroom
The spacious bedroom can accommodate two additional futons. Washi paper panels inspired by ‘Midorikawa’ were produced by craftsmen in Mino, Gifu Prefecture.

The second-floor veranda surrounding the rooms offers views of the canal and cityscape.

Take a bath in the Goemon Baths to recover from your journey. Relax in the bathrooms, which are designed to resemble warehouses.
