About the Hakushu Festival Water Parade
In memory of Hakushu Kitahara, Yanagawa's proud poet, the Hakushu Festival Water Parade will be held.
This parade is held every year from November 1st to 3rd in Yanagawa, including the anniversary of his death on November 2nd. Local performing arts, drumming, choral singing, brass band music, and more are performed on stages set up along the approximately 4km course.
Lanterns float on the water, and you can feel the warm hospitality of the local people as the final destination is marked with a fireworks display.
This year marks the 73rd anniversary of the festival, so come enjoy the fantastic night that is unique to Yanagawa, a town of waterfront.
