■The charm of Ohana's Noh performances

Unlike the Noh theater inside the museum, you can experience a powerful Noh performance up close in a special space that combines cultural heritage buildings, a stage, and a nationally designated garden.

The program is a digest with commentary, so even those seeing Noh for the first time can enjoy it.

・The deep connection between samurai family and Noh

The Tokugawa Shogunate designated Noh as the official ceremonial music of the samurai class, so all feudal lords' residences were required to have a Noh stage, where Noh plays were performed at official events.

In the grand hall of Ohana, originally built as a feudal lord’s residence, a Noh stage that has been passed down for over 100 years still remains.

This is a place where you can experience up close the culture that was once cherished by feudal lords. There are records that among successive feudal lords, some not only watched Noh, but also enjoyed performing it together with elder retainers of their clan.

2026 Special Performance: "Kagetsu"

During his journey, a boy who lives for his art meets his father, who has long searched for his son. Their reunion is depicted quietly not through words, but through dance and chanting.

Experience Japan's oldest performing art while immersed in gardens and architecture that have inherited history. It is a cultural experience that transcends time and remains in your memory.

Enjoy the inherent beauty and lingering echoes of Noh in the unique space of Ohana.
