On the first floor, Café & Bar “Karyo Ukigumo” offers a refined experience inspired by the elegant courtly tradition of Kyokusui-no-Utage, where sweets and savory delicacies flow in harmony with nature and time.
Breakfast
For our overnight guests, we serve a seasonal breakfast inspired by bara-zushi, a local dish from the Tango region, under the supervision of Ayami Shomoto of “Entaku”, a Kyoto-based culinary curator.
Breakfast is exclusively available to hotel guests.

Café Time
During the day, enjoy a pairing of Japanese confections and tea, artfully curated by Naoko Kojima of “Shimada” in Hayama. The seasonal wagashi are crafted by Kyoto’s prestigious confectioner Yūsokugashi Gochōshinjo Oimatsu, and served with carefully selected teas from Isono Kaikado, a specialty Japanese tea shop in Miyazu, evoking the landscapes of Amanohashidate.
