A Journey Immersed in Books | YAMABOOKS Collaboration Stay Package
BUNAGAYA × YAMABOOKS | A Quiet Journey Dedicated to Reading
“When was the last time you read a book all the way to the very last page in one sitting?”
Have you noticed that the number of books you’ve left unfinished has been increasing?
Your reading time is gradually being eroded by busyness and smartphone notifications.
Not at home. Not at the library.
In a quiet school building surrounded by the Yanbaru Forest,
this is an overnight stay package designed to help you reclaim that “time to lose yourself in a book.”
The scent of nature, the quiet school building, and time spent swaying in a hammock.
Take a break from your smartphone, listen closely to the sound of turning pages,
and enjoy the luxury of simply losing yourself in reading.
■Escape the noise of everyday life and lose yourself in a book
When you open a book at home, distractions like work, household chores, and smartphone notifications inevitably creep in.
Here, surrounded by the Yanbaru Forest,
you naturally find yourself distanced from those distractions.
Spending time in the quiet school building
allows you to rediscover that “deep sense of immersion” in reading.

■It's Okay to Fall Asleep—The Luxury of Reading
As you read, you drift off into a light doze.
You fall asleep with the book resting on your chest.
Being able to spend your time this way
is a reading experience made possible only by staying overnight.
A night free from the pressure of thinking,
“I have to take a bath” or “I have to get ready for tomorrow.”
Please enjoy a time when you can dream of the story’s continuation.

■ Background Music for Reading That Changes Between Night and Morning
At night, the sounds of insects and the patter of rain.
In the morning, birdsong and soft light.
The sounds of nature, which change with the time of day—
something you can only experience when staying overnight—are another highlight of this package.
Mornings spent reading a book with a cup of coffee in hand
are sure to be a special part of your trip.

Information About Amenities
A diverse array of living creatures coexists in the Yanbaru Forest, and we strive to operate our facility with consideration for this rich natural environment. For this reason, as a general rule, we ask that guests bring their own disposable amenities, such as toothbrushes, hairbrushes, and razors. If you absolutely need these items, please insert 100 yen into the payment box located by the sink and feel free to use them. We sincerely appreciate your understanding and cooperation in our efforts to preserve the environment.
Information About Parking
There are several parking spaces on the premises, but because the grounds are large, the distance to the building may vary depending on where you park. We ask that guests staying overnight use the parking lot in front of the gymnasium to make it easier to unload and move your luggage.
Information About Dinner
On the grounds of Kijoka Sho School, there is a restaurant called “Fukamidori” that serves dishes made with ingredients from the Yanbaru region. In addition, ・BBQ sets ・Appetizer platters and other options are available. Advance reservations are required for all of these, so if you’d like to order any of these items, please select them from the options when making your reservation. There are also several restaurants in the surrounding area. There aren’t many within the village itself, but there are a few scattered about a 15-minute drive away. Please refer to the Google Map below. ▼ Map of Nearby Restaurants https://maps.app.goo.gl/m7cSDsdbCC3PCwoJ9 If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us.
