Our guest room is located at the back of SIONE, a ceramics brand and shop by the artist SHOWKO. Situated beyond the retail area, it is at the end of a corridor with the courtyard on your left.

“Kaze-no-ma,” visible in the background, can be used as a living area.

Kaze-no-Ma (Living room)

The guest rooms consist of two spaces: a first-floor living room and a bright basement bedroom. 

The first-floor, named “kaze-no-ma,” is a Japanese-style living room with calming pink-beige tatami flooring, a tokonoma alcove, and a bright indoor veranda (engawa) overlooking the garden.

 Enjoy the light falling on traditional Japanese materials such as tatami, shoji screens, diatomaceous earth floor, and washi paper.

This space will gently awaken your creativity.

Enjoy the architecture and design of a century ago, along with a selection of books chosen especially for you.

A small kitchen is equipped with an electric kettle, a refrigerator, and basic kitchen utensils, such as cutlery and a cutting board.

We also provide well water and a teapot, so you can pick fresh herbs and make your own herbal tea.

In addition, we offer a selection of carefully chosen teas and drinks:

- Utahi original flavored coffee (sandalwood, amur cork tree, ginger)

- Herb tea from {tabel}, a herbal tea brand that primarily uses native plant species

Mizu-no-Ma (Bedroom)

The bedroom named “mizu-no-ma” is a tranquil space that evokes the feeling of floating on water.

White small pebbles, the kind used in traditional Japanese dry gardens, covers the floor, while the bed and garden deck flow seamlessly into one another, creating a space with a sense of floating.

Throughout the day, you can relax and immerse yourself in the gentleness of life, feeling the breeze and the shifting light.

On the east-facing deck, cushions are prepared for morning meditation in the sunlight.

In the private garden, about ten varieties of herbs are grown.

Pick fresh herbs from the garden and grind them in a mortar.

Combine them with “Misogi,” an original bath salt made with deep-sea mineral salt from Muroto, created in collaboration with LHOOQ. Then, pack them into a linen pouch.

Immerse yourself in the natural goodness of locally grown herbs and enjoy a peaceful, relaxing bath.

The queen bed in the bedroom accommodates up to two adults.

For groups of three or more, additional bedding will be prepared in the “kaze-no-ma” room. (An additional fee of ￥11,000 including tax per night applies.)
