Hakuba Hospitality Inn YUKINOSO

NAGANO・HAKUBA

At the foot of the Japanese Alps,

Hakuba reveals a different kind of beauty in every season.

Admire vibrant blossoms in spring,

when the village feels like a hidden paradise.

Challenge yourself among majestic peaks in summer,

surrounded by nothing but mountains and nature.

Breathe deeply through forests ablaze with color in autumn,

and feel both body and mind renewed.

Experience the magic of winter in Hakuba’s legendary powder snow,

where every moment feels effortless and joyful.

Escape the ordinary and immerse yourself in the rhythms of nature throughout the year.

"At Yukinoso, we are committed to preserving the minshuku culture

that has long been part of Hakuba’s identity.

By blending traditional Japanese hospitality with the flexibility

and connection of a guesthouse,

we offer a unique and forward-thinking accommodation experience.

For more than 70 years, this traditional wooden building with its distinctive high ceilings has been carefully maintained and lovingly passed down through generations.

The origins of Japan’s minshuku culture can be traced back to farmers opening their homes to mountaineers and skiers during the agricultural off-season. The very first minshuku is said to have begun here in Hosono, Hakuba—today known as the Happo area.

As a guest in the birthplace of minshuku, we invite you to experience Hakuba’s warm hospitality, the culture that has been nurtured through generations, and the generous spirit of nature that made it all possible.

Surrounded by the warmth of wood and human connection, take time to slow down and feel the authentic character of old Hakuba.

When asked what makes travel truly memorable, one answer is often the unexpected encounters and connections along the way. At Yukinoso, we take pride in offering those once-in-a-lifetime moments of “Ichigo Ichie” — the Japanese philosophy of treasuring every encounter as a unique experience that will never happen in the same way again. Experience the true spirit of Japanese minshuku hospitality in Hakuba,

The stone monument marking Hakuba as the birthplace of Japan's minshuku culture.

If the rural landscapes of Hakuba gave birth to Japan's minshuku culture, then it is our responsibility to protect those landscapes and pass them on to future generations.

"Preserving Hakuba's scenery for the generations to come."

As snowfall levels continue to decline year by year, the question is whether our actions can stay ahead of the challenges we face.

By protecting both Hakuba's world-renowned powder snow and its beautiful countryside, we strive to help build a more sustainable mountain resort for the future.

And to further reduce CO₂ emissions, we are pleased to offer:

”Complimentary EV charging for all guests during their stay.”

Stay with us today.

Help protect Hakuba for tomorrow.

We kindly ask for your cooperation in sorting waste into the designated categories.

At our in-house bar, thoughtfully created to feel like

"your home away from home,"

you'll find a selection of local sake and craft beers from the region.

Every evening, we host a “Free Sake Time”,

where you can enjoy a selection of sake chosen from Hakuba Nishiki,

Daisekkei, and Daikoku. Cheers!

Share stories from your travels, meet fellow adventurers, or simply relax with a drink after a day in the mountains.

End the day with a soothing soak in the on-site hot spring,

and let your cares drift away.
