A luxury villa with an authentic sauna, crafted with carefully selected materials from Okinawa.
Located just 5 minutes by car from the Okinawa Churaumi Aquarium, this ocean-view villa with a Finnish-style sauna was created in Motobu, Okinawa.
Sauna benches made from Japanese hinoki cypress. The walls and ceiling are finished with Silica Lime, a special plaster material with excellent deodorizing and humidity-control properties.
Following traditional Finnish sauna design principles, the height of the sauna stove and the second bench level — where you place your feet — are aligned at almost the same height.
The ceiling has also been intentionally set low, so that when seated on the third and highest bench, the distance between your head and the ceiling is close. This too has been carefully calculated according to Finnish sauna principles.
The sauna is also designed to be spacious enough for up to six people to relax comfortably at the same time.
The story behind the name “MERIVAS MOTOBU.”
In Finnish, meri means “sea,” and taivas means “sky.”
“MERIVAS” is a coined name that combines these two words. The concept of this accommodation is a place where guests can enjoy an authentic Finnish-style sauna while taking in the expansive views of the sea and sky.

You can enjoy the entire three-story, 105-square-meter villa as a private rental.
Including the backyard area, the property covers approximately 562-square-meter. While the sauna is one of the main features of this accommodation, the infinity open-air bath is another highlight.
The front edge of the bath is 110 cm deep, allowing you to enjoy it as a standing infinity open-air bath.
There is also a bench inside the open-air bath, so you can sit back and take in the seamless view of the sea, sky, and bath as one.
In summer, it can be filled with room-temperature water and used like a small pool. In winter, filling it with room-temperature water also allows it to be used as a deep cold plunge.
Of course, there is also a cold plunge equipped with a chiller, allowing you to enjoy water at around 15°C throughout the year, even in hot Okinawa.
We use “YUMEJIN” organic hibiscus shampoo and other amenities made with hibiscus from Nakijin Village, Okinawa.

施設は禁煙ですか？土足ですか？
全室禁煙となっています。土足厳禁ですので室内用サンダルをご使用ください。
子供は宿泊可能ですか？
マクアケ応援購入者においては、未就学児宿泊OKといたしますが、十分お子様に目配りお願いいたします。 しかし、施設内には、小さいお子さんにとっては危険な箇所（水深110cmの露天風呂、3階テラス、階段手すり等）があるので、大変心苦しいのですが本オープン後は未就学児は宿泊不可とさせていただきます。
駐車場はありますか？
はい。普通自動車なら縦列だと5台駐車可能です。マイクロバスの場合、3台駐車可能です。
インフィニティ露天風呂は追い焚き機能ありますか？
インフィニティ露天風呂には、追い焚き機能がありませんので、適宜熱いお湯で足し湯をしていただく必要がございます。 なお、長時間（30分以上）お湯を出し続けると、安全のためガス会社が遠隔停止措置する可能性があるため、お湯の出し続けでのご利用はご遠慮ください。 また、給湯器の温度設定を高く変更する場合も、ガス会社が安全のため遠隔停止措置する可能性があるため、給湯器の温度は48度のままお使いください。 保温シートもご用意していますので、保温シートを使用すると長時間熱いお湯が維持できます。
サウナストーブへのロウリュウは可能ですか？
はい。可能ですが、ストーブ故障防止のために10分に1回、柄杓1杯の頻度でお願いします。
サウナドアは、押し戸ですか？
はい。サウナドアはサウナ室内から押すだけで開くタイプのドアです。 万が一に備えて、サウナ室内の窓ガラスを割るための緊急脱出ハンマーもご用意しています。（お子様がハンマーで遊ばないようにご注意ください。）
サウナの温度は変更できますか？
はい。タッチパネルでお好みの温度の変更可能ですが、推奨は80度〜90度です。
水風呂の温度は変更できますか？
申し訳ございませんが、チラーの機械操作をする必要がありますので、お客様で温度変更することはお断りしております。 基本的には、16度〜18度の設定でご用意しております。 あらかじめ、希望の温度をお聞きすることがありますが、必ずその温度を保証するものではありませんのでご了承くださいませ。
サウナストーブの安全装置はどのようなものがありますか？
サウナストーブは、安全のため3時間で電源が切れるように設定しております。 （1時間で余熱、2時間はサウナ利用のイメージ） 電源が切れた後でも、電源を入れると再度3時間の利用が再開できます。 また、異常温度感知装置があるため、異常な温度を感知すると電源が消える仕組みがございます。
インフィニティ露天風呂は、お湯も水もどちらも溜めることができますか？
はい。お湯を溜めることもできますし、水（常温）を溜めることもできます。 インフィニティ露天風呂は、最も深い箇所で水深が110cmあります。 夏は水（常温）を溜めることで、ミニプールのように利用することもできます。 冬の水（常温）は、気温と近い温度の水が出ますので、気温に応じて約13度〜約19度の深い水風呂として利用可能です。 エコの観点から、夜にお湯を貯めて、お湯が冷めて翌日朝に深い水風呂として利用することをオススメいたします。
サウナは水着着用ですか？
はい。保健所から指示がありますので水着着用やポンチョ着用をお願いします。 近くの民家から見えますので、全裸でのテラスへの出入りはご遠慮ください。
