A 200 years old townhouse reborn as a cafe and inn.
This building, which is particularly old among the Kawaramachi merchant houses, is a 200-year-old built in the late Edo era. It has a deep structure like an "eel's bed" in a Kyoto machiya.
The walls are made of local soil, and the floors are covered with Oya stone.
At cafe area, we use chairs made by Matsumoto folk furniture and counters and tables made by traditional furniture makers and craftsmen who value tradition.
The furniture throughout has a dignified tone, but the refreshing greenery of the plants visible from the courtyard brings a lively touch of green.
The lightning from the skylights and the view of the garden recreate the lifestyle of the people who lived here at that time.
As it is complex with cafe and bar, you can enjoy our Nel drip coffee and craft beers during your stay.
