NAGANO

A small triangular-roofed cabin nestled in the forest, “Nutshell.”

Inspired by the shape of a “nut shell,” this cozy cabin offers only the essentials for sleeping and dining — a simple yet thoughtfully designed retreat.

Designed and crafted by the the head carpenter of ist - Aokinodaira Field, it features an original structure full of character and charm.

Inside, you’ll find only the essentials — a bed, a table, and a tiny kitchen.
Because of its simplicity, you can bring your own camping gear and create a space and time that’s entirely your own.

Bring your favorite coffee set and brew a cup to start the day.
Set up a fire pit or grill and build your own compact camping base.
Or make use of the surrounding trees to hang a hammock or stretch out a tarp —
the space is yours to enjoy freely.

You can make full use of both the cabin and its surroundings, discovering many ways to enjoy your time here.

While you can fully enjoy the charm of the outdoors, there’s no need to worry about setting up a tent or preparing bedding — just relax and feel at ease.

No matter the weather or season, Nutshell lets you experience the beauty of the forest in comfort.

Enjoy the best of both worlds — the essence of camping and the comfort of a cozy cabin.

A: You can make a reservation during the period shown on the reservation calendar. Generally, reservations can be made up to 6 months in advance from the current month, but during the mid-winter season or during the peak season, the schedule may differ. We may not be able to give you a clear answer, but if you have any questions, please contact us!
Q: Can I use credit cards or electronic money?
A: Yes, you can use both. During busy times, cash or barcode payments such as Paypay will help you pay more smoothly, so we recommend that you prepare in advance.
Q: What should I do if the number of people or vehicles decreases on the day of the event?
A: If there is a partial cancellation of the reservation due to a reduction in the number of people, a cancellation fee will be charged as long as the cancellation policy is applicable. Please note that you will be required to pay in full at check-in.

A: Depending on the site, there are places where you can park vehicles and places where you cannot. Please be sure to check the details of the campsite you will be using.
Q: If the same group joins us at a later date, what time can we check in?
A: Even if your companion are joining you at a later date, they will be asked to arrive at the regular check-in time (13:00-17:00). Please note that additional charges will apply if they arrive during early check-in hours.

Regarding the cancellation policy in the event of inclement weather, the normal cancellation policy will apply until any of the following situations occur. We ask our customers to make a decision as soon as possible regarding their use when a typhoon is approaching.

Cancellation fees will not be charged only in the following cases.

・If the venue is closed due to circumstances on the facility side
・If the viewer determines that it cannot be used safely
・If the Japan Meteorological Agency announces that our campsite will be in a typhoon warning area.
・If the Japan Meteorological Agency issues a weather warning for the relevant area on the day of your stay.

A: You may use audio equipments as long as the volume is at a level that does not disturb other guests or those living in nearby villas. However, if you receive any instructions from our staff regarding the volume, please be sure to follow them.

Q: Are pets allowed?
A: Pets are only allowed at the campsite, and up to 2 pets per group. Please select from the options. (500 yen per animal)

A: There are some unpaved roads on the venue. There is also a narrow slope along the road leading to the site, making it impossible for cars to pass each other. Please reduce your speed and yield to each other as you pass (as a general rule, cars going up will have priority).
