Mushiro (筵) refers to a mat made by weaving straw and other materials.
Historically, it was used in agriculture, but it also signifies a place where people gather to relax, converse, and enjoy drinks together.
The name was chosen with the hope of creating a space where you can unwind and relax with those you feel comfortable with.

Located in the fermentation town of Yokote City, Jūmonji, this hidden gem is a fully renovated traditional kura (warehouse) offering a private rental experience.
The facility includes a spacious sauna room, along with a thoughtfully designed living room featuring a mini kitchen. Enjoy a relaxing and enriching time with your family, friends, or loved ones in a free and comfortable environment.

Located in the southern part of Akita Prefecture, in Yokote City, Jūmonji Town.
It’s within an hour from the borders of Iwate, Yamagata, and Miyagi Prefectures. Historically, it’s been a crossroads where people have gathered for centuries.
Our accommodation is just a 3-minute walk from JR Jūmonji Station. Although situated in the town center, beyond the kura doors, you'll find tranquility and serenity. Spend a peaceful and calming time close to the everyday hustle.
BUILDING
The building is a renovated warehouse originally located behind a bookstore.
Preserving as much of the original design as possible, including the beams, pillars, and doors, the respect for the craftsmanship of the past remains intact. By combining modern techniques, the space has been transformed into one that blends nostalgia with comfort, creating a welcoming atmosphere.
The main building houses a local hard cider brewery, producing apple-based alcoholic beverages made from apples grown in this region.
For those who enjoy a good drink or wish to chat with the locals, feel free to make use of the bar space as well.
SAUNA [A Sauna Crafted with Care]
A low-temperature, high-humidity Finnish-style sauna that can be enjoyed by everyone from children to beginners. Relax while lying down or chatting, and create your own perfect sauna experience.
The miso barrel in the cold plunge area can be filled with ice-cold water in the summer, allowing you to submerge up to your head, or with warm water in the winter, turning it into a large bath — enjoy it however you like.
Please wear a swimsuit when using the sauna. You may bring your own or use the rental swimsuits (men) or bathrobes (women) available for free.
Sauna Usage Times
The private sauna is available for up to 2.5 hours between check-in and 11:00 PM. Guests with the "Staycation Plan" can use the sauna freely throughout their stay.

In the event of damage, contamination, or loss of any building, equipment, or furnishings within the property, you will be required to compensate for the appropriate amount.
The entire property is non-smoking. Please use the designated outdoor smoking area if you wish to smoke.
