About Rootfield

Our facility has two types of rooms.

An inn that is a renovated old private house built over 150 years ago.

Lake Saiko ---- is one of the Fuji Five Lakes.

In the northewest of the lake, on an alluvial fan overlooking Mt. Fuji.
it is said that there was once a village that was called "Japan's most beautiful".

There were about 40 thatched-roof houses called Kabuto-zukuri, built with their ridges butted against each other.
About 60 years ago, most of the houses were washed away by landslides caused by a large typhoon.

Meanwhile, only three private houses remained.

We rented the remaining private house,
We made a few changes to the building and turned it into an inn that can be rented out, keeping the original texture intact.

The Nenba district, where our inn is located, is the place with the most beautiful view of Mt. fuji around Lake Saiko.
We named it Rootfield so that it would take root in this area.
