＜SHIMMINKA Villa＞ has an open glass-walled design that is structurally ingenious as if allowing you to spend relaxing time in an open space that allows you to experience oneness with the surrounding garden.

The annex of the oldest Ryokan "TAKEMORI" on the island and the New Folk House Project 'ISSHO Architects' work was born on Iriomote Island on November 30, 2021.

"SHINMINKA Villa" is a rental accommodation facility located in the Ryukyu Islands.

It is inspired by the wooden forestry architecture that once supported the circular economy of the Ryukyu Islands, so the design was an evolved version of traditional dwellings suitable for modern times that is known as "new folk houses." These efforts have been recognized with the firm receiving the Okinawa Architecture Award Main Prize and the Japan Institute of Architects' Environmental Architecture Award Grand Prize.
