Bamba Hotel is named as Bamba that is the name of a place of this area.Shinagawa used to be the last post‐town on the road from Kyoto to Edo. Therefore people need a ride with horses, and there were a lot of stables in this area.
"Bam" means a horse and "ba" means a place in Japanese, so that people called "Bamba" in this area.
This old place was rennovated by Ms.Kaori Tamai, who runs DYI store near this neighborhood very nicely. Keeping the oldness with mixed with international goods made unique and at home atomasphere to make you peaceful. Each items, even tiles of this hotel walls, were selected from Portland of America, Gifu of Japan and more.
It is very fun to take a look at house edge to edge to discover unique items like horse sculpture in this house.
