“Artist’s House”

"This is a healing house that provides the charming views and light for contemplative moments”, said by Leo.

The walls of the house were a good example how this house restored, as it reflected a delicate pearlescent sheen, meticulously conserved using ancient techniques by the Fujita family, known for their restoration work on Japan's three major castles, including Himeji Castle.  The old beams are significantly not only have supported the house for more than half a century but also it retained the warm, deep coloring which is unique characteristic of machiya houses. 

Design elements of the house in cooperation with craftsmen, deciphering the traces left on the building and furniture. The vintage Scandinavian furniture was carefully restored by a craftsman who has an atelier in Hakusan City.  The old piece of furniture that has lived in Europe has found its way into the Japanese townhouse, creating a strange harmony.

In addition to the house is the secrete basement area, which used to be a storage, now has turned into a comfortable and quiet space gives you s quietly to yourself.  

The space consists of 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom with a rain shower and bathtub, and a comfortable living room,  kitchen (Optional / additional of 3000yen per night) and secret room in the basement creating a serene space reminiscent of a cellar,allowing guests to experience the unique atmosphere of the past in the prese.

空間中妥善保留這棟超過半世紀町屋的木樑原件，色澤渾厚溫潤；如反射珍珠細膩光澤的壁面，是由修復日本三大名城－姬路城的藤田家族，依古法復原，匠心獨具。

以舒適的北歐Vintage傢俱襯托，增添些許異國情調，也象徵設計構想，來自早年因工作旅居世界各地的修復師，對過去歐陸上的『家』的依戀，也滿足來自世界各地旅人的使用需求。

起居室中重新利用了古老的地下室，靜僻的空間或是酒窖，亦可體驗古老獨特的空間氣息。

光，終能自在地穿梭，療癒安頓旅人的心。

期待在此眺望遠方白山及城市風景時，能再次感受家的溫暖，忘卻煩惱，並回憶起往昔時光。

Leo Tsai is a top art restorer who has been living in Italy and the Netherlands for a long time and has extensive experience in many international restoration projects.

In 2013, he founded TSJ Art Restoration in Taiwan, the organization focus on restoration of classic oil paintings, sculptures, color paintings, and restoration cases of large-scale monuments, temples, and churches, as well as designing and planning the professional collection spaces and systems of many art galleries and museums (including architects, such as Tadao Ando and Renzo Piano).

During his many trips to Kanazawa, he felt that this city is a place where art and literature can be nurtured, where people can calm their hearts and understand themselves and the universe.

Accidentally found the three houses with his friends. With all the 3 boys hearts, they hope to share their attachment to the past and their joy of discovering beautiful things to everyone who visit here.

蔡舜任是長期旅居義大利、荷蘭等地的頂尖藝術品修復師，國際修復經驗豐富。

2013年在台灣創立TSJ Art Restoration，他與團隊持續進行經典油畫、雕刻、彩繪及大型古蹟、廟宇、教堂修復案件，同時設計規劃多間美術館及博物館（包含：安藤忠雄及Renzo Piano等建築大師）的專業典藏空間及系統。

在多次往返金澤的旅程中，感受到這座城市是能讓人靜下心，理解自己、理解宇宙的文藝孕育之地，因而和志同道合的夥伴共同用心經營三間屋，希望能將心中對過往時光的依戀，以及發現美好事物的喜悅，共同分享給每一位來到此地的旅人。
