All bookings require prepayment via this website.

- We do not offer meal services at the guesthouse. We recommend using our shared kitchen to prepare your own meals with fresh local groceries. - Please be advised that cooking in your room is not permitted.

A washer and dryer are available for guests on the 1st floor from 2 pm to 6 pm. There is a charge of ¥300JPY for each use. Detergent is provided.

As the guesthouse is surrounded by nature, we kindly ask all guests to refrain from using strong-scented products such as perfumes or fabric softeners. We hope everyone enjoys the natural scent of the surroundings.

The entire building is non-smoking, including e-cigarettes. Smoking is only permitted in the designated smoking area outside. Please feel free to ask our staff for the location.

For children under 6 years old, an additional charge of 3,000 JPY will apply per extra futon if required. Please notify us in advance if needed. Children aged 7 to 12 years old will be charged 5,000 JPY per night. Children aged 13 years old and older will be charged the same rate as adults. The building was originally established as a school over 50 years ago. Please understand that the walls are thin, and the sound may echo easily. Please ensure that children do not run or play in the common areas and corridors to maintain a peaceful atmosphere. There are fragile items, delicate plaster, and earthen walls inside the building. We kindly ask you to handle them carefully. Please note that our shower rooms do not have bathtubs. A hot spring facility is located about 10 minutes away by car if you prefer.

We do not offer accommodations for guests with pets.

We generally do not accept bookings from minors unless accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Non-guest visitors are not allowed to enter our premises, and we do not offer facility tours before check-in. If you have any inquiries, please reach out to us in advance via email at info@notel-hitoyama.jp.

This room is the smallest room, located next to the kitchen. The walls are thin, so there may be noise from the kitchen and the room next door during the night (we tell our guests to refrain from using the kitchen after 10pm). If you want to go to bed early or are sensitive to noise and vibration, Please reserve another room.

Our guesthouse is a renovated school building. Please kindly note that the facility has stairs and steps, and there is no elevator. Our place is located in a quiet village, where residents tend to rest early in the evening. Please refrain from having loud conversations outdoors at night to respect the neighborhood. From May to November, local wildlife is quite active. Since our guesthouse is surrounded by rice fields and mountains, you may encounter small insects. In such cases, please gently let them out through the window or use the insect repellent spray provided in the guest room.
