Located in KURKKU FIELDS—a sustainable farm and park in Kisarazu, Chiba—"cocoon" is a villa where guests can experience the concept of "creative living."
KURKKU FIELDS offers a chance to feel the fundamental pleasure of living through activities like farming, making, and eating in harmony with nature. "cocoon" was established as a place to dive deeper into these sustainable ways of living for the future.
Produced by Takeshi Kobayashi—musician and General Producer of KURKKU FIELDS—the "cocoon" project was directed by fashion designer Akira Minagawa. Minagawa led the comprehensive direction, including concept design and design supervision, while the architecture and spatial design were crafted by Takahito Yoshida of ikken, a Kyoto-based architecture and furniture design unit.
Our vision for "cocoon" goes beyond the traditional guest experience of being served. We aim to create a place where guests can touch the soil, interact with the environment and living creatures, and feel the profound connection of all life. It is a space designed to encourage a natural, mindful, and active engagement with the surroundings.
We hope that the sense of coexistence with nature—found within the time and effort spent here—will offer a fresh perspective for your own daily life.
*Please note that pets are not permitted at cocoon.
About KURKKU FIELDS
The journey began in 2010 with the establishment of the agricultural corporation "Tagayasu" and the opening of the Tagayasu Kisarazu Farm in Chiba. Spanning a vast 30 hectares (approx. 74 acres), the farm has spent over a decade practicing organic vegetable cultivation and free-range poultry farming, guided by the mission of creating "farmland that can be passed down to the next generation."
In November 2019, this expansive land evolved into KURKKU FIELDS, a sustainable farm and park. Building on the values of conscious consumption and food culture cultivated by KURKKU, the park integrates three core pillars: Agriculture, Food, and Art. > We offer a diverse range of experiences across seven unique categories:
FARM, EAT, ART, PLAY, STAY, NATURE, and ENERGY.
