《Tour》Akiyamago: Hidden Village in the Deep Snow – 1-Night, 2-Day Tour from Echigo-Yuzawa

Experience the Deep Snow of Akiyamago – 1-Night, 2-Day Winter Tour

This 1-night, 2-day accommodation tour offers a chance to experience the winter of Akiyamago, one of the world’s heaviest snowfall regions and a secluded area of Japan.

This special plan is available only during the Echigo-Tsumari Winter 2026 program (Saturdays and the day before public holidays from January 24 to March 7, excluding February 10 (Tue) and February 28 (Sat)).

Akiyamago is a remote area deep in the mountains that is difficult to reach on your own during midwinter, but this tour offers a comfortable round-trip bus from Echigo-Yuzawa.

You’ll also visit the popular Kiyotsu Gorge Tunnel, and AKEYAMA in Oakasawa village, which has been reborn as an art space sharing the history and culture of Akiyamago through art.

Enjoy two days in this harsh yet breathtakingly beautiful winter wonderland.
