Satoyama Horseback Riding Retreat (Afternoon Day Trip)

A retreat through the Satoyama landscape with our horses.

After your ride, unwind on the traditional Engawa veranda.

Savor delicious sweets and tea while gazing at the horses in the pasture and finding your inner peace.

1. Visitor Guide

You can choose between a morning or afternoon session for your horseback riding experience.

Afternoon Session: 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM

Riding Time: Approximately 40 minutes.

Guided Trek (Staff-led):

Up to 3 participants at a time.

Independent Riding (Experienced riders only, Staff-led on horseback):

Up to 2 participants at a time.

The tour primarily proceeds at a walk to enjoy the serene Satoyama scenery.

2. Course Information

This horseback riding experience takes you on a journey through the rich, natural beauty of the Satoyama countryside.

Listen to the rhythmic sound of hooves, breathe in the scent of the trees, and hear the birds sing. Our course includes stops for commemorative photos at local shrines and scenic viewpoints with breathtaking vistas.

3. Tea Time on the Veranda After Riding

We have prepared an elegant rest period following your ride.

Enjoy tea time on the Engawa (traditional veranda) of "miru.house."

Relax with delicious sweets and tea while watching the horses graze peacefully in the fields. The sunset viewed from Satoyama is a truly magnificent sight to behold.
