A Private Retreat — The Entire Temple Lodging, Yours Alone

Reserve all four rooms and the whole building for your group: the suite "Dainichi," the indigo-dyed "Seiryu," and the traditional shoin rooms "Momiji" and "Ran."

The garden views, the quiet hours spent in a shoin room — all of it, luxuriously, yours and no one else's.

A stay made for families and larger groups to unwind together, at their own pace.

The private bath in "Dainichi" is open to every guest of your party, and of course the great bath, "Kōbō no Yu," awaits as well.

For dinner, we prepare something special: shojin cuisine, the traditional vegetarian fare of Buddhism.

Nothing is made with meat, fish, dairy, or nuts.

If you have allergies or religious dietary needs, please let us know when you book, and we will do our utmost to accommodate you.

Because your meal is served in a private room reserved solely for guests of this suite, we can also be flexible with dining times and other details.

On the first night of your Shikoku pilgrimage, savor to your heart's content the seasonal produce grown here in the local fields.

A breakfast attuned to the season awaits you as well.

Over dinner or in the quiet of your room, you are welcome to order whatever you please — sake, umeshu (plum wine), Japanese whisky, beer, and more.

After you book through this site, we will check availability and contact you within 5 days; your reservation is confirmed only at the point when we reach out to you.

Please understand in advance that if we are unable to accommodate your request, the booking will be canceled.

Capacity

• "Dainichi": 1–4 guests (plus up to 4 children sharing bedding)

• "Seiryu": 1–2 guests (plus up to 2 children sharing bedding)

• "Momiji" & "Ran": 1–2 guests each (plus up to 2 children sharing bedding each)

• Total: up to 10 guests (plus up to 10 children sharing bedding)

• ・Capacity refers to the number of guests using futon bedding.

• ・Children are counted toward capacity if they use their own futon.

• ・Children's rates: ages 0–9, ¥10,000 (+tax); ages 10–12, ¥20,000 (+tax).

  ・Children ages 0–12 sharing bedding (no futon) stay free of charge.

• ・When making your reservation, please select the total number of guests, including children but excluding any children sharing bedding (without their own futon). At the time of booking, please also let us know: the number of children, their ages, whether they will be sharing bedding, and whether meals are needed.

Amenities & Facilities
Full set of bath amenities, yukata robe, towels, hair dryer, TV, air conditioning, washbasin, bedside lamps, slippers, mineral water, coffee, tea (black and green), electric kettle, wine opener, wine glasses, and ice (refrigerator in a separate room). Alcoholic drinks are available via room service for an additional charge (order at dinner). Wi-Fi available.
